Final Poster - Curtis

Here is the final poster for our short film, we have carried through the design of the draft poster which I designed.
We have kept the conventions of the previous draft as we thought it represented our film well and doesn't give too much away.
In terms of what I have changed from the draft they are as follow:

  • I have made the title larger font to ensure it really stands out from a distance and it is the first thing the audience read on the poster. Also i have add an inner shadow which gives suits the layout and ensures it blends in too the dark background.
  • Film production logos have been placed at the bottom to ensure it looks professional, we chose to pick British producers as this is a British independent film and would not have big name company's included (Warner bros).
  • The images of both characters (Curtis & Danielle) have been replaced by images which have the correct mise en scene i.e the body language, facial expression, lighting, costume that suits our short film.
  • The credits block has been resized and edited so that it has the right credit within it.
  • The images of the house has also been replaced by the actual house we had in our short film to justify a link between the poster and the short film appropriately as for the draft I simply just added an image of a house from google images to provide an example of the placement and design.
  • The font type of the actors has been adjusted by removing the italic font style as this made it look like an action movie of which it is not.
